Why Farmers are protesting against agriculture ordinance in India?

Thousands of of farmers are protesting in different parts of India getting Justice from Government. On 14th September 2020, Monday Lok Sabha passed three farm laws. Farmers wanted to withdraw that farm law because it will benefit for Corporates only.

• Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Ordinance

• Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Ordinance

• Essential Commodities (Amendment) Ordinance

These are the three laws passed by Lok Sabha.

Central government of India claimed that, the ordinances are pro-farmer and will provide barrier-free trade for farmers produce outside notified grain markets and empower farmers to enter into farming agreements with private players prior to production for sale of agri-produce.

Farmers Union not believing central government regarding the bills, because the farmers claimed that it will affect small farmers including it will cut the prices of their agriculture, there is no minimum support price for their products. Farmers claimed that the new bill crush their traditional trade market and their freedom. The middlemans also opposed these laws will make them jobless.

There is one more reason that farmers want traditional marketing, banks don't lend money to the poor farmers for agriculture purposes but these farmers borrow money from commission agents for their agriculture purposes without any problems.

The government want to stop these commission agents through new laws implementing. The government claimed that farmers can free trade with private companies and government will not withdraw any minimum market price.

The biggest fear of the farmers is minimum market price and farmers are afraid of private companies exploit their market prices.

Farmers Union comes out in street against central government, some people are claimed that protesters are anti-nationals.

Due to the monopoly of Reliance Jio industries in India, owned by Mukesh Ambani family faced several issues and farmers targeted them. Farmers have started boycotting Jio, Reliance products in India. Protestors demanded boycott jio sim and port them to other network. Mukesh Ambani approach to TRAI in India to take action against other networks for provoking farmers to boycotting Jio Sim. Protestors destroyed Jio Mobile towers nearly 1500 but cases not charged against farmers.

There are some rumours spread that these towers are earlier shutdown. Trade unions recommend farmers to protest peacefully.

On January 26th farmers will conduct tractor rally against government. 40 farmers Union called the rally.

Due to these mass protest states like Punjab, Harayana lots of trains where shutdown their service temporarily, road blocks and many more destruction caused. Even central government afraid the situation, finally central government ready to talk with farmers union for hearing their demands. Several times meetings conducted, all becomes failure, central government not ready to withdraw the law due to prestige issues.

Several members resigned from BJP due to new farm law, but farmers demanded that, if you support farmers quit from all political parties because at the time of congress led NDA government do same thing to farmers, there is no difference between congress and BJP.

In a mass protest in Delhi AAP came including their chief minister Aravind Kejriwal to support farmers, he was house arrested for sometimes due to support given to farmers. AAP, BJP clashed in Delhi. AAP given all food items to farmers in protests area.

Central government given another venue for protesting but farmers rejected it. Central government called several farmers union for meeting but unions didn't accept it because they were demanded all the unions need to be call for meeting.

States like kerala passes anti resolution bill against the new farm laws. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said, state won't implement the new law. Opposition including senior BJP MLA supported the resolution.

According to the recent reports are coming out, that central government accepted two demands of farmers union out of four demands. Central government give opportunity to select the states for implementating the the new farm bills.
