United Arab Emirates: Sharjah Electricity will complete two distribution stations next May
The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority is intensifying its efforts to complete two distribution stations of 33 kV in the regions of Nizwa and Al Dhaid and to modify the networks in the two areas, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to exercise the authority's competencies and to deliver and supervise electricity, water and gas services In the central region in all its regions and cities, where the percentage of civil works completion in the Dhaid station reached 53%, electrical works 19%, Nizwa station about 51%, and electrical work 19%. It is planned that the two stations will be completed during May 2021.
Saeed Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, stated that the authority will intensify its efforts to complete the two stations, modify the networks on time, and develop a plan in coordination with the Federal Electricity and Water Authority to continue providing services efficiently, and the authority will work during the next phase to implement a number of development and development projects for networks and stations Distribution in the cities of the central region in an effort to keep pace with the great development and to achieve its development plan, in cooperation with all government agencies, to complete projects with quality, efficiency and in the fastest time.
Eng. Khalifa Al-Tunaiji, Director of the Central Region Administration, confirmed that work continues to implement the two stations and modify the networks so that advanced services can be provided to the people of the Central Region and meet their growing needs of electricity and water.
He added that the development projects implemented by the authority in the central region will contribute to achieving stability and stability for the electricity network and the distribution of loads, and that the authority is keen to provide all capabilities, take into account the highest safety and quality systems at work, use the best technological and technical solutions, and operate the electrical network with the highest levels of technical performance.
He explained that the Al-Batayeh area of the central region is considered the first administrative and technical part of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, as the authority has built two 33 kV power stations. In Al-Bataih area to serve the population and residents and to supply commercial and industrial projects with electricity, in addition to providing electricity to new government buildings, so that the Al-Batayeh area depends mainly on the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority to supply 100% of its electricity services.
