Ukraine spoke about the conditions for joining NATO
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba spoke about the conditions for the country's entry into NATO. According to him, the country can join the North Atlantic Alliance without participating in the NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP) program. Writes about this "Ukrinform" .
Kuleba noted that participation in the MAP should only be achieved if it simplifies joining the alliance, but Ukraine is ready to discuss other options. The minister emphasized that the main thing is to get the tools and a clear entry deadline.
"It is very important. Otherwise, we will wander in space, doing something that will not bring us closer to our goal, concluded Kuleba.
On September 17, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that joining the North Atlantic Alliance is the country's strategic course and called for intensifying reforms that would allow them to receive an invitation and join the NATO Membership Action Plan.
The course towards joining NATO and the European Union is enshrined in the Ukrainian Constitution. The corresponding law was signed in February 2019 by the fifth president, Petro Poroshenko .
