Trump will decide on the candidacy only after the elections in 2022

Former White House chief Donald Trump will not make a decision on another possible presidential candidacy until after the congressional election scheduled for 2022. He said this today in an interview with Fox News in which he also called on his supporters to be vaccinated against 19.

In 2022, as every two years, a decision will be made on the occupation of the entire House of Representatives and a third of the senators' seats. Trump confirmed that he wants to use his influence to help Republicans gain the upper hand in both congressional chambers. The elections in the middle of the presidential term are often seen as a referendum on the ruling head of state, which became Democrat Joe Biden in January.

I think we have a very, very good chance of getting the House back. There is a good chance that we will get the Senate back, and honestly, we will make our decision only later, he said of his possible further efforts to return to the White House.

Trump served one presidential term, and Biden stopped him last year in an effort to extend his stay as the world's most powerful man. However, according to the constitution, the Republican could run for another four years in the White House in the next presidential election scheduled for 2024.

In the interview, Trump expressed the belief that his supporters would probably stand up for him again if he ran for office.

He said, according to all the polls, they want me to run again, but we'll look into it and see.

The ex-president also advised everyone to get a covid-19 vaccine. A number of recent surveys have shown that many of his supporters do not want to be vaccinated. Biden's White House therefore began to devise a strategy to persuade these people to be vaccinated. He also said on Monday that he did not expect Trump to help with such an effort.

It's a great vaccine, it's a safe vaccine. And it's something that works, said Trump who was vaccinated as early as January, but unlike many other high-ranking officials without the media.

Trump has been relatively out of the public interest since graduating from the White House in January, but continues to have a major influence among Republicans. After his departure, disputes arose in the party between the traditional leadership, which includes, for example, Senate Minority Chief Mitch McConnell, and Trup's rock supporters, according to whom the party's future depended on continued support for the anti-Trump electorate.

The ex-president infuriated a number of his comrades in the last months of his term, repeatedly talking without evidence about alleged electoral fraud and elections "stolen" by Democrats. He also faced accusations that he had provoked unrest at the congressional headquarters in early January with his vicious rhetoric, and became the first president in history to face two constitutional charges during his time at the White House.

Some Republicans in Congress therefore opposed Trump and joined the Democrats in a constitutional lawsuit. For this, the ex-president is in danger of opposing them in the primary elections, which he will explicitly support. He also called on Republican supporters to send financial contributions to his upcoming Political Action Committee (Super PAC) rather than to traditional Republican structures.
