Three of Trump's lawyers pulled out of the Pennsylvania lawsuit
Three more lawyers representing Trump's campaign petition to withdraw from the Pennsylvania election results case, just before the court opens the hearing. Attorneys Linda Kerns, John Scott and Douglas Bryan Hughes filed a petition to the court on Nov. 16, announcing the withdrawal from the legal team that is currently conducting the lawsuit in Pennsylvania and added that US President Donald Trumpd's campaign had agree to let them withdraw.
These are three of the four lawyers representing President Donald Trump's campaign on November 9 filing a lawsuit against Pennsylvania Secretary-General Kathy Boockvar, alleging there were many irregularities in the vote-counting process across the state. They argue that 14,000 votes in Pennsylvania should be disqualified and that the state election process is unconstitutional. Their lawsuit also claimed that votes were handled differently in state counties, that many mail ballots were illegally tally and that Pennsylvania voters were allowed to correct errors on the ballots voted illegally.
Days later, Trump's campaign filed a revised lawsuit removing many of the original charges. Boockvar's secretary general said that the lawsuit filed just repeated the allegations that were dismissed without any evidence.
Last week, the famous law firm Porter Wright Morris & Arthur decided to withdraw from the lawsuit, before the Pennsylvania court set a hearing on November 17 and November 19. After three lawyers filed for withdrawal, the Trump campaign's lawsuit had only one legal representative, Marc Scaringi, a lawyer practicing in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The judge then held a brief hearing on the evening of November 16, allowing Scott and Hughes to withdraw from the case, but attorney Kerns must join Scaringi to continue this legal effort.
In a recent court filing, Kerns said she had faced a series of harassing emails and phone messages by working on Trump's campaign. Scaringi and the three lawyers withdrew from a request for comment. The change is procedural says Jenna Ellis, Trump's legal advisor to the campaign.
Eills said, the President announced on November 14 that he had asked Mayor Rudy Giuliani to lead the national legal team with local lawyers. Our replacement of local attorneys matches our case management process. complicated.
Legal experts say the Pennsylvania lawsuit is less likely to change the election outcome. A senior legal counsel to President-elect Joe Biden has denied the allegation calling it a play not a legal action.
