Third arrest in alleged stabbing at house in Ely, Cardiff, as victim remains in critical condition
A third person has been arrested in connection with an alleged stabbing in Cardiff. A 52 year old woman and 30 year old man were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident in Plymouth Wood Close, Ely, at around 12.30am on Tuesday, August 25. A third person, a 25 year old woman, has now been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
She remains in police custody but the man and woman arrested on Tuesday have been bailed pending further enquiries. The victim of the alleged stabbing, a 36-year-old man, remains in a critical condition in hospital.
On Tuesday, a spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said they were called to reports of a person being badly injured at a property in Ely just before 12.30am. Several ambulances were sent to the scene and one person was taken to hospital.
