The World Health Organization comments on the continued opening of schools
On Thursday, the World Health Organization confirmed its support for the continued opening of schools in Europe, despite the closure of many countries.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari, Director of the World Health Organization in the Eastern Mediterranean said that the most deaths from Covid-19 were recorded in Jordan, Tunisia and Lebanon.
Al-Mandhari explained that the failure to adhere to preventive measures and ease the exit ban increased the spread of the Covid-19. Countries should make a great effort to detect early cases of the Covid-19.
He pointed out that the Covid-19 infected 3 million people, while it caused the death of 67 thousand cases in the region.
