The Ministry of Social Affairs also proposes that the aid for 1st and 8th grade be for all children
No income criterion and for the aid for 1st and 8th grade. The Ministry of Social Affairs also proposes that it become BGN 300, and not BGN 250 as before. This was announced in the program "Hello, Bulgaria" by the Minister of Social Affairs Denitsa Sacheva.
Yesterday, the government approved a proposal by the Ministry of Social Affairs for all families with children, regardless of their parents' income, to receive child benefits. This will be included in next year's budget. Thus, families with one child will receive BGN 40, families with two children - BGN 90, and families with three children - BGN 135.
At the moment, all family benefits for children are about BGN 572 million. The abolition of the income criteria will cost the state another 398 million. The proposals were made even before the outbreak of the crown crisis, the Minister of Social Affairs explained and rejected the doubts that this is a pre-election move.
"Aid for 1st grade is received by about 44,000 children, and a total of one generation of children is on average about 60,000. The social services explained to me that many parents are provided with the minimum to get this help," said the Minister of Social Affairs.
Regarding pensions, Sacheva said that the ceiling is currently BGN 1,200, and next year it will most likely transfer BGN 1,400.
"From July 1, there will be indexation of pensions between BGN 300 and 369, the indexation will be 10%, for pensions BGN 369 - 5%," Sacheva explained.
