Thailand’s anti-government protest against the burning of the Thai king’s first response

The controversial behavior of the Thai king Maha Vajiralongkorn continued, which turned the protest from a student movement into a national anti-government movement. The demonstrators recently took to the streets to protest on a large scale, demanding reform of the government system and the resignation of the prime minister. The government responded positively. In an interview with foreign media on 1st November, Vajiralongkorn stated that he had no comment on the struggle, but emphasized that we all love them the same.

Vajiralongkorn has fled to Germany since the outbreak of the epidemic this year. The chaotic relationship between his harem concubine is like staged a real version of a battle drama and the extravagant behavior is quite unacceptable to the Thai people. Since July, the student movement has begun. The wave demanded government reform and in October it expanded into a nationwide anti-government movement demanding that Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha step down, dissolve the parliament and redraft the constitution. However, the authorities did not respond positively and once ordered the capital to Bangkok. Entering a state of emergency, the people are even more dissatisfied.

The king of Thailand, who had stayed in Germany for several months, finally returned to Thailand in mid-October amidst protests, but the Thai people did not give him a good face. Last week, he attended Hosei University, the main place of the student movement wave to attend the graduation ceremony. The young student touched a soft nail and the atmosphere was embarrassing.

In interviews with foreign media CNN and Channel 4 News, the King of Thailand responded to the protests in recent months for the first time and was asked if he wanted to say anything to the demonstrators on the street, Vajiralongkorn First, he said that he does not comment, but then added and emphasized that we all love them the same, indicating that he loves the people as before, even the demonstrators.

As for people's demands to amend the law to curb his power, is there any possibility of coordination between the government and the people? Vajiralongkorn also replied that Thailand is the land of compromise and the interpretation implies that the demonstrations over the past few months may have a chance of a solution.

Although there are constant protests, there are still many people who support the Thai royal family. There are still tens of thousands of people wearing yellow shirts that represent the royal family's color in the royal family activities. They shouted allegiance to the royal family and made the Thai king who attended the event to be supported, as if Those political controversies never existed, however, Jutatip Sirikhan, the leader of the student movement demonstration was quite disapproving of Vajiralongkorn’s statement. He criticized the royal family for nothing but empty talk. Since the protest, the authorities have used force to suppress and harass the demonstrators. It is exactly the opposite of what he called compromise.
