Taejong Lee didn't see it as a leak... Judge'Justice Nongdan' 4 consecutive innocences
Former Seoul Western District Court chief Lee Tae-jong, 60, who was accused of leaking investigation secrets to the court administration was acquitted at the first trial, like other former and current judges who had previously been tried as a judicial nongdan. The 26th Division of the Seoul Central District Court Criminal Agreement (presiding judge Kim Rae-ni) pleaded acquittal to former court chief Lee, who was charged with obstructing the exercise of ex officio abuse rights. It is the fourth acquittal and the 6th acquittal in the case involving former and incumbent judges involved in Jubeongnongdan.
Earlier, the prosecution asked the court to sentence Lee to two years in prison. In 2016, former court chief Lee was charged with reporting the confidentiality of the investigation obtained through a copy of the warrant to the former deputy chief of the court administration department, Lim Jong-heon, during the prosecution's investigation of an employee at the Western District Law enforcement office in 2016. During this process, he is also charged with giving unfair instructions to the court secretary to promptly obtain, check, and report a copy of the warrant.
However, the judiciary saw that such charges were not proved. Earlier, all five were acquitted in three related cases, including former Supreme Court Chief Justice Hae-Yong Hae-yong, Chief Judge Shin Gwang-ryul, Jo Eui-yeon, and Seong Chang-ho, and Chief Judge Lim Seong-geun.
