Suprastatals condemn the US has included Cuba in the list of countries sponsoring terrorism
Bolivia's supra-state assembly members, elected in the October 2020 elections, on Thursday condemned the inclusion of Cuba in the United States list of countries sponsors of terrorism.
A statement signed by the supra state said, The representation of Bolivia before Suprastate Parliamentary Organizations firmly condemns the inclusion of Cuba in the list of countries 'sponsors of terrorism' announced by the former president of the United States of America Donald Trump.
The US announced on January 11, nine days after the end of Trump's administration, the inclusion of the Caribbean country on the list of sponsors of terrorism, from which it had been withdrawn in 2015 by the Barack Obama administration during the thaw of the bilateral relationship.
The suprastate states considered that the US does not have the morality or the legitimacy to create unilateral lists lacking international recognition whose sole objective is to apply coercive economic measures against nations that refuse to bow to their mandates.
They warned that Cuba is a victim and cannot be classified as a sponsor.
They denounced, the Cuban people for decades have suffered firsthand the acts organized, financed and perpetrated by the United States government or by individuals and organizations that operate from the territory of that country with the tolerance of official government authorities. The most recent example being the attack against the Cuban diplomatic headquarters in Washington.
