Spotify will allow your employees to work from anywhere in the world
Spotify, the Swedish-American music streaming platform launched the Work From Anywhere (WFA, works from anywhere) program to encourage remote work and for its employees to choose the place they want in the world where they think and believe better.
The company said, we are giving employees the opportunity to choose a mode of work, whether they prefer to work primarily at home or in the office, as well as their geographical location. Thus, they will be able to do their work at home, a cafe, a hotel lounge or a co-working space.
In case the employee wants to work in an office that is not close to a Spotify headquarters , the company will help him with a membership in a co-working space. However, Spotify points out, this remote work mode will depend on time differences and the legislation of the country or state they choose.
On the other hand, if you prefer to work some time in the office and another remotely , the manager in charge and the employee will have to arrange the exact combination between the two spaces.
The company said, a flexible work culture is built on trust, communication, collaboration and connection, and in recognizing that we are all individuals with different needs and rituals, which gives us the right frame of mind to put aside some chosen truths and instead find what's best for our business and our people,.
The company also relies on four premises to make this decision to allow remote work:
Work is not something you come to the office for, it is something you do
Efficacy cannot be measured by the number of hours people spend in an office; instead, giving people the freedom to choose where to work will improve their effectiveness.
Giving our people more flexibility will lead to a better work-life balance
Operating as a distributed organization will produce better and more efficient ways of working with a more intentional use of communication and collaboration practices, processes and tools.
