South Korea: First day of listing in Coupang, Seohak Ant ranked 1st in net purchase amount
From the first day of listing, the'Seohak Ants' showed great interest when they net bought Coupang stock for 384 billion won.
According to the Korea Securities Depository on the 16th, the foreign stock that domestic investors bought the most on the 16th as of the settlement date was Coupang. In general, when you buy or sell overseas stocks, local settlement is made two business days later, and the following day, it is reflected in the KSD statistics. In the end, on the 11th, the first day of listing, domestic investors net bought Coupang stocks worth $33.91 million (38.4 billion won). On this day, domestic investors bought Coupang shares worth 59.3 billion won. The selling amount on the same day was about 20.9 billion won.
Coupang's net purchase was more than 10 billion won more than Roblox (game platform company, net purchase of 23.6 billion won), the second largest net purchase on the same day, and twice that of Apple (18.8 billion won), the third place. It was three times the amount of Tesla net purchase (12.4 billion won), which is the most bought by domestic investors and held consistently.
Compared to the size of individual net purchases in the domestic stock market as of the 11th, it is ranked 4th. It is less than Naver (64 billion won), Prestige Biologics (48 billion won), and HMM (48 billion won), but higher than the net purchase of the rest of the stock.
Coupang closed at $50.45, up 4.09% from the previous trading day on the 15th (local time), the third day of trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
