Son of former Ecuadorian president expelled from Colombia

On the afternoon of this Friday, Migración Colombia confirmed that it expelled the Ecuadorian citizen Jacobo Abdalá Bucaram from the national territory. Abdalá Bucaram, son of former Ecuadorian president Abdalá Bucaram Ortiz, was arrested in the city of Medellín and placed at the disposal of Migración Colombia on the afternoon of today.
After carrying out the pertinent verifications, it was established that Jacobo Bucaram entered the country irregularly in the middle of this year and that he presented requirements from the authorities of that country.
The entity in a press release, traking into account the above, and acting within the framework of its powers, Migración Colombia made the decision to expel the Ecuadorian citizen Jacobo Abdalá Bucaram from the national territory for a period of 10 years, counted from the date on.
Jacobo Abdalá Bucaram will be transferred by air, accompanied by two custodians of Migración Colombia, from Medellín to Ecuador, where he will be handed over to the authorities of the neighboring country, the institution specified.
The former Ecuadorian president confirmed through his twitter account that his son was detained: “My son, not my God. They have just detained my son Jacobito. He's innocent OMG. My son not for the love of God help me. Help my God.
