Saudi Arabia call on the international community to put an end to Iran's violations



 

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan confirmed on , Monday, that Arab countries are united to face the challenges.


In his speech before an emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers in Cairo , Bin Farhan called on the international community to put an end to Iran's violations and threats to the region.


He stressed that the Iranian regime threatens the security and stability of Arab countries through its militias, and condemned the Houthis' targeting of civilian facilities.


Bin Farhan called for the countries most affected by Iran's threats to be a party to any future agreement, noting that Iran's nuclear activities and ballistic missiles threaten regional security.


The Saudi Foreign Minister welcomed the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement by the Yemeni parties , appreciating their keenness on the interest of their country.


Bin Farhan emphasized the kingdom's adherence to a Palestinian state on the borders of 67, with East Jerusalem as its capital .


On Monday, the emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers began in Cairo to discuss developments in the region, how to deal with the policy of the new US administration, and the structure of the Arab League.


The ministers in Cairo, headed by Egypt , are discussing strengthening Arab solidarity and affirming the fundamentals towards the Palestinian cause, at a time when the Arab League welcomed the decision of the International Criminal Court, to investigate practices committed by the occupation forces in the Palestinian territories.


Arab sources expected that the meeting would result in a resolution affirming the necessity of adhering to the two-state solution and obligating all Arab countries to provide support to Palestine.


In his speech, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry warned of any change in the status of Jerusalem, and said that "Cairo is working to facilitate Palestinian dialogue for the success of reconciliation.


Shoukry stressed the importance of the right of return of Palestinian refugees and Egypt adheres to a Palestinian state with the borders of 67, with East Jerusalem as its capital.


To that, Sameh Shoukry, Egyptian Foreign Minister, held a bilateral meeting with Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs in Jordan.


The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs quoted a ministry spokesman as saying, The emphasis was made during a meeting between the foreign ministers of Egypt and Jordan on the necessity of stopping all foreign interference in Arab countries' affairs and upholding political solutions for all regional crises. The meeting of Arab foreign ministers comes in an effort to provide the necessary political climate to re-engage the Palestinian and Israeli sides in a serious negotiation track.
