Russian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs strategic relationships between Cuba and Russia
The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Titov received this Friday at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Julio Garmendía Peña.
During the cordial meeting, both authorities exchanged about the state of bilateral relations in different spheres, including the progress of the preparations around the celebration of the XVIII Session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic and Scientific-Technical Collaboration in the city of La Havana
The parties evaluated the confrontation with covid-19 in each country and the potential for cooperation in the medical-pharmaceutical sphere, both in the fight against the pandemic, and for the treatment of other pathologies.
There was agreement on the usefulness of holding inter-foreign ministerial consultations, either in person, when conditions permit, and even through videoconferences.
The First Deputy Minister ratified the strategic nature of relations between Russia and Cuba and wished the Ambassador success as the new official representative of Cuba in the Russian Federation.
The meeting took place in the atmosphere of friendship and understanding that characterizes the relations between our countries and peoples.
