Russia was to try to influence the US election

Last year's US presidential election sought to influence Russia with Iran, and China stood aside. The activities of the Russians were probably directed personally by President Vladimir Putin. It follows from a declassified report published on Tuesday by the office of the director of the US secret services. US President Joe Biden said in an interview with ABC that Putin would soon pay the price for interfering in the US election.

For the first time, the 15-page document describes foreign threats in detail and comprehensively during the elections. While Russia sought to actively help Donald Trump and blacken opponent Candidate, Iran focused only on Trump and the campaign against him.

Both countries then sought to undermine people's confidence in the electoral system or democracy and to exacerbate social and racial divisions in American society.

According to the secret services, China stood aside, because the victory of none of the candidates did not play its part enough to risk later problems if its engagement failed.

However, there are no indications that a country would try to interfere in the technical aspect of the election, such as the voting itself, the counting of votes or the registration of voters, or the reporting of results, according to the secret services.

The Kremlin's influence can be traced primarily to the attempt to discredit Biden through his son, who did business in Ukraine. According to unsubstantiated claims, Biden, as the then vice president of the USA (under Barack Obama), should have used his influence to help him. The alleged evidence was passed on to Trump's people by two Ukrainian officials, who, according to the report, were to be connected directly to Putin.

In his role as president, Trump then tried to force Ukrainian officials to investigate Biden's son's business, for which he eventually earned the first impeachment (constitutional appeal of appeal), which survived due to the predominance of Republicans in the Senate. Russian agents also sought information about Biden Jr. in the Ukrainian company in which he worked.

As in the previous presidential elections in 2016, Russia tried to spread insulting information about the Democrats and their presidential candidate, Biden on social networks.

US President Joe Biden subsequently told ABC on Wednesday that Putin would soon pay the price for interfering in the US election. In an interview with Joe Biden, moderator George Stephanopolous asked if he thought Vladimir Putin was a killer, after which the US president agreed.

The most significant (mentioned in the Secret Service report) Iran's footprint is the targeted influx of emails to Democrat voters. The reports gave the impression that they were being sent by the right-wing movement of Trump's Proud Boys supporters, threatening the recipients if they did not vote for Trump. According to the US secret services, Tehran's action could not have taken place without the approval of the country's highest representative, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

According to the report, the US presidential election also tried to influence Cuba, Venezuela and the Hezbollah movement, but to a much lesser extent than Russia and Iran.
