Russia proposed to introduce resort tax in all regions

In Russia, it was proposed to introduce a resort tax in all regions of the country. Such a proposal was made on Wednesday, November 18, by the chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko , RIA Novosti reports .
As noted, the speaker of the Federation Council proposed to adopt a law on collection, which will be valid for tourists throughout Russia. She said this during a plenary session, at which the head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova told the senators about the development of domestic tourism.
“We need a law on tourist tax, It is necessary to give the right to the subjects of the Russian Federation to apply a fee that can be used reasonably, ”said Matvienko, adding that she had already discussed this topic with the government.
The chairman of the Federation Council noted that she considers 50 rubles per day from one tourist to be a small waste for him, but in total these funds will allow to preserve the monuments of history and architecture. In addition, they will also be aimed at the development of the region's tourism infrastructure.
Earlier it was reported that in the Krasnodar Territory, the resort fee will be returned, on which a moratorium was imposed amid the coronavirus pandemic. The tax will apply from January 1, 2021.
