According to RT, President Vladimir Putin gave a green light on November 16 to the establishment of a naval logistics base in Sudan and instructed the Ministry of Defense to sign an agreement discussed with the North African nation earlier. The proposal was submitted by the Russian government last week.
In 2019, Russia and Sudan signed a seven-year military cooperation agreement and sideline discussions on the establishment of a logistics base .
