Russia asks Turkey for help Armenia and Azerbaijan ceasefire
Russia sought help from Turkey for a ceasefire as the military conflict over the disputed territory between Armenia and Azerbaijan intensified. The claims of both sides are in conflict over the shooting down of a fighter in Armenia, Russia's ally. In the foreign exchange market, the Russian currency ruble and the Turkish currency Lira, which supports Azerbaijan, have each fallen. The Armenian Defense Ministry announced on the 29th that one of the country's fighter "Sukhoi 25" was shot down in Armenian airspace by the Turkish army fighter "F16" performing its mission in Azerbaijan. Turkey and Azerbaijan each immediately denied the announcement.
Peskov, a spokesman for the Russian presidential administration, said in a telephone interview with a reporter on the same day before the announcement of the shooting down of the fighter. All statements about military aid and military activities will definitely fuel the fire.
Russia said it wants every country, especially its partners, such as Turkey, to take every step towards a ceasefire.
