Putin urged the United States not to pout their lips over Karabakh
Russian President Vladimir Putin considers it an exaggeration to say that the United States and France could be offended by their non-involvement in the settlement in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Putin said on the air of the TV channel "Russia 24", speaking about the offense of France and the United States that they were not invited to participate in the agreement on the settlement in Karabakh, RIA Novosti reports. I don't know about grudges. When issues are resolved, discussed at this level and in such a context, when it comes to health and life, the fate of millions of people for a long historical perspective, there is no time for resentment, not time for pouting, completely different categories are taken into account here. And I think that in fact it is a hyperbole, such an artistic exaggeration that someone was offended by someone.
He noted the role of these two countries in the process of resolving the situation. As for the roles of France and the United States, I appreciate them very highly the role of both France and the United States. Because they have always been in the material, they have always looked for ways to solve this problem.
The President specified that since 2013, when Russia proposed the basis for the format of a future settlement, both France and the United States generally supported the proposal of the Russian side and worked in solidarity.
Putin said, the question is how and whether it was possible to take into account in detail the opinion of each of our partners in the preparation of the final document, which formed the basis of our trilateral statement, the basis of the ceasefire, is a purely technical issue, because this does not undermine the basis of our common positions on the principles of settlement, that the statement made is entirely based on a trilateral position.
Let us remind you that on November 10 the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia signed a statement to end the Karabakh war. Immediately after that , an operation began to transfer Russian peacekeepers to Nagorno-Karabakh. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which the rotation of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh will take place at least twice a year.
