Peru suspends trial of Chinese coronavirus vaccine as a precaution
Peru suspended in the last hours the clinical trial of a potential Chinese vaccine for the Covid-19 as a precaution against the detection of neurological problems in a study volunteer. The National Institute of Health (INS) decided to temporarily stop the trial, after it was reported that one of the volunteers had decreased strength in the movements of his legs, according to local media.
Germán Málaga principal investigator of the clinical trials of the Sinopharm vaccine said, a few days ago we duly reported to the regulatory entities that one of our participants had some neurological symptoms that could correspond to a complication called Guillain-Barré.
Guillain-Barré Syndrome is a rare, non-contagious disorder that affects the nerves that control movement of the arms and legs.
