Nitin Gadkari: Water transport between Chennai and Kanyakumari will start soon
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that water transport between Chennai and Kanyakumari will start soon. The Minister inaugurated the 1 km long flyover built at a cost of Rs 35 crore in Pondicherry through a video on Wednesday evening. During the opening ceremony. Bridges are being built at various places in the country to reduce traffic congestion and save time and fuel. Sea and air services will be launched between Pondicherry and Chennai. Similarly, seaplane services between Chennai-Puducherry-Kanyakumari will be launched soon. The Central Government will help connect the major cities of Tamil Nadu with the cities of the North through water transport.
