Newspaper is threatened because of Mohammed cartoons
After the alleged Islamist assassination attempt on a French historian, a newspaper is faced with threats over the publication of cartoons of Mohammed. There have been several such threats, especially on Facebook against.The Newspaper is taking legal action said a journalist from the regional newspaper "La Nouvelle Republique" ("The New Republic") on television on Wednesday.
The newspaper had the drawings already published by the satirical magazine "Charlie Hebdo" on its front page on October 18. The editorial staff placed the cartoons prominently to draw attention to the danger posed by Islamism.
