Moroccan named Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum 2021

The Director of the Africa Business Unit of Mazars in Morocco, Sanae Lahlou, was named Young Global Leaders (YGL) of the World Economic Forum 2021 and thus joins an international community of leaders committed to the transformation of the world, including heads of government and senior officials, leaders of innovative companies, Nobel Prize winners, and renowned activists.
Each year, the WEF selects on a global scale, after a rigorous process, 100 exceptional and inspiring young leaders under the age of 40 working for the improvement of the situation in the world, indicates a press release from Mazars, international leader in auditing, taxation and consulting.
These profiles must have, each in their own way, innovated or contributed to positive transformations in their respective sector or community with the objective of accelerating the impact of a plural community of responsible young leaders, from various backgrounds and sectors by interconnecting them to promote the building of a more inclusive and sustainable world.
Sanae Lahlou, quoted by the press release, indicated that the integration of this prestigious global community of young leaders constitutes a great opportunity to amplify the impact of my commitment and my actions in favor of African SMEs by contributing in particular to the change of the narrative on Africa and to the valuation of the significant potential of African companies to transform themselves into continental champions, capable of positioning themselves on global value chains.
Through her various responsibilities, notably that in charge of international markets for the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE), she has helped several Moroccan SMEs to connect to continental value chains in multiple and varied fields, according to the same source.
She also conceptualized and led the first government program to support business development in Africa for Moroccan companies Les Caravanes de l Export promoting the Moroccan exportable offer on more than 40 markets on the continent.
