Kwara govt accepts commissioner’s resignation
The Kwara State Government has accepted the resignation of one of its commissioners, Aisha Ahman-Pategi, from the cabinet. The government, on Friday, confirmed the resignation of the Commissioner for Special Duties, who tendered her letter of resignation of her appointment from the cabinet to the state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
The government, in a two paragraph statement by the Commissioner for Communications, Harriet Afolabi-Oshatimehin, said, the government has received the resignation of Aishah Ahman-Pategi, who was Commissioner for Special Duties. The government accepts same and wishes her the best in her future endeavours.
Ahman-Pategi, in her letter sighted by our correspondent, gave no reason for her action. The former commissioner, who was moved from her former Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to Special Duties in a minor cabinet reshuffle in May 2020, in her letter of resignation, addressed to the governor.
She said, i, Aisha Ahman Pategi, the outgoing Commissioner for Special Duties, effective from today, Friday, August 28, humbly wish to formally announce my resignation from the cabinet of His Excellency, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
