Japan: Tokyo Dental College has the highest pass rate of 94.2% in the national dentist exam

According to the passing status of the 114th National Examination for Dentists announced by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare on March 16, 2021, the highest passing rate by school is Tokyo Dental College at 94.2%. The pass rate for those who passed the preliminary examination was 100%.
The 114th National Examination for Dentists was conducted on January 30th and 31st, 2021. From 2:00 pm on March 16th, the examinee numbers of successful applicants are posted on the website of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare for each examination location.
The pass rate for the national dentist exam is 64.6%, and the pass rate for new graduates is 80.2%. The average pass rate was 75.3% for national universities, 78.4% for public schools, 61.2% for private schools, and 53.8% for other certifications and preliminary exams.
According to the status of successful applicants by school, the highest pass rate was Tokyo Dental College 94.2%, followed by Hokkaido University School of Dentistry 87.5%, Nippon Dental University Niigata Life Dentistry (including Nippon Dental University Niigata Dental School) 84.6. %. Three new graduates passed the preliminary examination of the national dentist examination, and three passed, and the passing rate was 100%.
The pass rate for new graduates exceeded 90.0% at Tokyo Dental College 95.5%, Matsumoto Dental University 95.4%, Hokkaido University School of Dentistry 92.2%, Osaka Dental University 92%, and Nippon Dental University. Niigata Life Dentistry (including Nippon Dental College Niigata Dental School) was 90%.
