Japan PM and Indian PM on Friday agreed to further strengthen the relationship
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday spoke with his Japanese counterpart Yoshihide Suga for the first time since the latter was elected to the office, the Prime Minister's Office said on Friday. PM Narendra Modi congratulated Yoshihide Suga on his appointment as the Japan prime minister and also wished him success in achieving his goals. PM Narendra Modi and Japan PM Yoshihide Suga also spoke about boosting the ties between the two countries based upon mutual trust and shared values. The two leaders agreed that the strategic and global partnership between India and Japan has advanced over the years.
PMO said, The two leaders agreed that the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership has made great advances over the last few years and expressed their intention to further strengthen this relationship based upon mutual trust and shared values.
