Ivory Coast: Investor announces FCFA 10 billion for housing construction in Abidjan
The Malian economic operator and CEO of the International Elohim Group, Mamadou Dramé dit Mama announced Wednesday in Abidjan, the extension of his Group's activities to Abidjan where he plans an investment of 10 billion FCFA to build housing
Mr Dramé said, we have decided to settle here to contribute to the development of this country. We will start with the public works building (BTP) and real estate with an investment of 10 billion FCFA to build housing in Abidjan. We invest here because we believe in this country with a future.
Justifying the choice of Abidjan to expand the activities of his group, Mr. Dramé considered that this is because Ivory Coast is today an emerging country and a platform for investment and opportunities.
The international Elohim Group includes several companies that operate in different business sectors, including energy, transport, mining and construction. According to the Affordable Housing Institute, the housing deficit in Ivory Coast is estimated at 600,000 units with an annual need estimated at 50,000 units. New housing needs are more pronounced in cities with an annual need of 200,000 units for the city of Abidjan alone.
