IPL 2020: Bangalore win over Sunrisers
The Sunrisers Hyderabad team, which made small mistakes, paid a big price in the IPL. A sample squatted unable to even penetrate the target. Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Sunrisers Bangalore by 10 runs in a league match on Monday. Batting first, Bangalore scored 163 for 6 in 20 overs. Aaron Finch (29 off 27 balls) did not look far. Chasing 19.4 overs, the Sunrisers were all out for 153 runs. Manish Pandey (33 off 34 balls with 3 fours and 1 six) helped Bairstow to no avail. Sun batting in front of the ensemble of R CB bowlers was evident. Chahal won the Player of the Match' award.
Devadatta, who played his first match in the IPL, displayed his batting skills. Gave Finch a creepy start. In the first over, Bhuvi scored two runs, including one wide. In the next over, Sandeep hit two fours. Natarajan added three more boundaries in the fourth over. However, Marsh, who bowled four balls in the fifth over, left the field with an injury. Finch also played consistently and by the end of the power play R CB had scored 53 runs. Rashid bowled 4, 6 in a row. Devadatta, who played a huge shot in the deep square leg off the ball thrown by Abhishek in the tenth over, survived by misjudging Rashid's catch. He immediately completed the half-century with a boundary. Devadatta came to life again in the next over. Vijay Shankar bowling Devadatta's catch to Allen, Abhishek was knocked down. But Vijay, who bowled Devadatta for the last ball of the over, gave a break to the Sunrisers. Captain Virat Kohli (14), who came in one down after losing the first wicket at 90, disappointed the fans. Both the openers then joined the dugout as Abhishek Sharma was also caught in front of the wickets by the next over First Ball Finch. With this, de Villiers came into the crease. The Sunrisers bowlers also fell into the groove. Virat and De Villiers were restricted to singles. With this, RCB crossed the three-run mark in the 13th over. But Natarajan (16th over) bowled a huge shot to Virat who gave a simple catch to Rashid in the deep mid wicket. ABD hit two huge sixes in Sandeep's 19th over to take the score to 150. He also crossed the 200 sixes milestone in the IPL. Although De Villiers started the last over with a boundary, R CB lost two wickets and scored only eight runs. De Villiers for the third ball of the over .. Shivam Dubey (7) ran for the last ball.
The Sunrisers were shocked in the second over. Captain David Warner (6), who appeared to be in good touch, sent the second ball to the boundary and ran unexpectedly. Another opener, Baird Stowe, who hit 4, 6 in a row in Umesh's second over, tried for another huge shot over the wickets. However, the ball touched Umesh and took wickets in the non-striking end. By then Warner was back in frustration with being out of the crease. But Bairstow played aggressively alongside Manish Pandey in One Down. By the end of the power play, the Sunrisers were 48/1. Bairstow hit 6, 4 in the ninth over by Umesh. With only six runs in the over after Chahal's, Hyderabad were 78/1 at the end of the half innings. In the 11th over, Finch missed a catch by Bairstow on the extra cover. But Chahal, who dismissed Manish (34) in the next over, gave a break to R CB. When Priyam Garg came into the crease .. Bairstow got another life in the 14th over. Stein dropped the high catch given by Johnny and Johnny completed his half century by hitting 2, 2, 4 in a row. Then came another life for Bear Stoke in Stein's bowling. The Sunrisers won by 43 runs off 30 balls.
But in the 16th over, Bairstow bowled Vijay Shankar (0) in successive balls to turn the match around and bring R CB back into the match. Abhishek hit a boundary in that over and the Sunrisers needed 37 runs in the last four overs. Afterwards, Priyam bowled in Dubey bowling. Abhishek ran for the second run for the last ball of the over. He was injured when he collided with Rashid during this sequence. But Saini dismissed Bhuvi (0) and Rashid (6) in the next over, while Dubey, who gave up four runs in the 19th over, dismissed Marsh (0). The Sunrisers victory required them to score 18 runs in the last six balls. But Sandeep (9) was out and Stein ended the match.
