Within two weeks two ministers in the Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin administration became corruption suspects . Even more sad, one of the ministers is suspected of corruption in social assistance (bansos) Covid-19. This is considered as proof that the mental revolution echoed by Jokowi failed.
Din Syamsuddin, Presidium of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE) admitted that he was very concerned about the appointment of Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Juliari Peter Batubara as a suspect in bribery for social assistance Covid-19. The Minister of Social Affairs became Jokowi's second minister to be named a corruption suspect in two weeks. Previously, the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Edhy Prabowo, was accused of bribery for the export license of lobster seeds.
The arrest of Social Minister Juliari Batubara as a suspect in the criminal act of corruption by the KPK is a deep concern, especially in two weeks two ministers have become suspects, he said in his statement on Sunday (6 / 12).
According to him, the determination of the two ministers as suspect shows the Mental Revolution echoed by the government has failed miserably. Moreover, the funds that were corrupted were social assistance for people who are suffering from the Covid-19 pandemic.
He said, this proves that the Mental Revolution that was touted has failed, because corruption is still rampant in the government.
Refly Harun: Jokowi Should Be Serious About Eradicating Corruption, Not Even Busy Ngurus Habib Rizieq. He considered that the corruption committed by Social Minister Juliari was a betrayal of the nation.
