Education: Only 25% of Chinese universities have found their way

According to the report University Alumni Observation: Research and Prospects for the Career Development of Chinese College Graduates in 2020 released by LinkedIn and China Globalization Think Tank (CCG), despite the Chinese economy Gradually getting rid of the epidemic, there are still many of the 87,000 college students who graduated this year who cannot find a job and the public sector only absorbs 2.8 million. The media and education departments still lack jobs.


Zhang Ying, Director of the Employment Promotion Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, said, many college graduates are still looking for jobs and those who are about to graduate in 2021 are about to enter the workplace. The government will continue to increase policy assistance including expanding the employment of state owned enterprises. Te public sector has already absorbed 2.8 million fresh graduates.


The National Bureau of Statistics of China pointed out last month that for young people aged 20 to 24 with a college degree, the unemployment rate in September increased by four percentage points from the same period last year, and many workers wages were cut or delayed. For the 8,700,000 college students who graduated this year, the job market prospects are bleak. According to data from some college student employment service centers, only 25% of recent graduates have found jobs.


The British Financial Times recently reported that China’s National Civil Service Bureau stated that 160,000 people passed the national civil service examination background check scheduled to be held in November, which is more than 1.4 million in 2019. The acceptance rate is only one six%.
