Disneyland appeals to the California authorities to reopen its doors
The Walt Disney Company urged California state officials on Tuesday to allow the company to reopen the Disneyland theme park, which closed six months ago, as part of efforts to combat the covid-19 outbreak. With the approval of local authorities, Disney has reopened its parks in Shanghai, Paris and Florida, with the reception of limited numbers and the mandatory requirement of face masks and other measures to prevent Covid-19 infections.
Hong Kong Disneyland is expected to reopen on Friday. Disney theme park officials said in a video briefing to reporters on Tuesday, that the safeguards they put into place are successful and have received good reviews from the pioneers in the polls. The testimony included footage of families and employees in various parks wearing masks and keeping their distance while waiting for their turn at the games and saying they felt safe and enjoyed their visit.
