A federal court confirmed the amparo granted to Emilio Lozoya , former director of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), for the Attorney General's Office (FGR) to cancel the assurance of his residence in Lomas de Bezares, Mayor Miguel Hidalgo. The magistrates of the Third Collegiate Court in Criminal Matters in Mexico City confirmed the decision of the Eighth District Judge of Amparo on the matter. The resolution orders to void the agreement issued by the FGR on May 28, 2019 on the house in Lomas de Bezares that was insured to Lozoya.
Leave the claimed act unsubstantiated; issue a new resolution purging the formal defects that affect it indicates the synthesis of the decision notified this Thursday to the Eighth District judge, so it is possible that the property will not be returned to the former official.
The FGR is obliged to comply with the sentence, however, it asked the Eighth District judge for a 10 day extension to do so. The property was insured as part of the investigations carried out by the FGR in the case of the irregular purchase of Agronitrogenados because, according to the investigations, it was acquired with money given to Lozoya by Alonso Ancira, owner of Altos Hornos de México.
