Colombia will open student corridor on the border with Venezuela
November 14 and November 15, the Simón Bolívar and Francisco de Paula Santander international bridges will open so that Venezuelan students who are enrolled in official schools located in Villa del Rosario and Cúcuta can take the Saber 11 exam and meet the requirement that they will allow access to higher education in Colombia, reported the Department of Norte de Santander.
It is expected that 67 students will enter the Simón Bolívar International Bridge, with their attendants for a total of 132 people. While the Francisco de Paula Santander Bridge will be 104 students with their companions for a total of 208 people.
Each student must appear at the border crossings one hour before the stipulated in the ICFES summons. The minor must be accompanied by the guardian who was previously referenced before Immigration. In the event that another person arrives as a companion, who was not on the list presented to Migration, they will not be allowed to enter and the student must travel only to the point of the test.
Once the test has finished, the student and their guardian must go through the process of returning to Venezuela through the Simón Bolívar (Villa del Rosario) land immigration checkpoints and the Francisco de Paula Santander International Bridge Immigration Control Post.
