China: Jack Ma has been removed from the list of Chinese entrepreneurial leaders
The official government media has removed Alibaba founder Jack Ma from its list of Chinese entrepreneurial leaders.
Shanghai Securities News has excluded Jack Ma from a front-page report praising businessmen who have played a commendable role in bringing about a technological revolution in the country.
Pony Mai's name has been published in the list of those who have changed the mobile age. The list also includes Ren Zhengfei of Huawei Technologies, Lee Jan of Shawmi Corporation and Wang Chuanfu of BYD, Bloomberg reported.
Jack Ma, who has not appeared in public for months, recently attended an online event for rural teachers. Its video has been circulated. Teachers were praised in the video but did not mention the long anonymity.
He has been missing since October 24 last year after criticizing China's economic control in a speech. Following the criticism, Chinese regulators announced an investigation into the group and Alibaba. Ant Group's $ 37 billion IPO has been put on hold.
A member of the ruling Communist Party, Ma resigned as chairman of Alibaba in 2019. He is a member of the Board of Directors and is currently an advisor to the company.
