Bihar polls: Raghuvansh Prasad's son Satyaprakash joins JDU

Satyaprakash, son of late former Union Minister and RJD leader Raghuvansh
Prasad Singh, has joined the JDU after being denied an RJD seat in Bihar elections.
Satyaprakash, who accompanied JDU state unit president Basista Narayan Singh to the
party headquarters, officially announced his entry into the party.
Satyaprakash left the party after the RJD decided to give the Mahanar assembly seat in
Vaishali district to Rama Singh's wife. Rama Singh, who also had underworld
connections, contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections on an LJP ticket.
Two days before Raghuvansh Prasad's death, a letter was issued in his name informing him that he was resigning from the RJD. It was alleged that the letter was prepared by his
son Satyaprakash. He died on September 13 while undergoing treatment at AIIMS.
Opposition within the RJD to giving a seat to Ram Singh's wife was high. Meanwhile,
Satyaprakash's JDU entry. The Bihar Assembly will be held in three phases on October 28, November 3 and 7.
