Bangladesh: 'Offensive Video' Legal Notice to YouTube CEO
Former Air Force officer and former director of Ekushey TV has issued a legal notice to the chief executive of US online video-sharing platform YouTube for allegedly broadcasting offensive video content. By broadcasting deliberately false, fabricated and offensive videos about Jahidul Islam, he socially defamed him. Abdus Salam did irreparable damage to the cottage by broadcasting the video with the intention of socially humiliating Zahidul Islam. Its estimated value is 5 million US dollars.
He said that although two letters were sent to the CEO of YouTube on September 19 and October 18 protesting the broadcast of the news, the authorities did not take any action. Notice was given for this reason. If you do not receive a satisfactory response within 30 days of receiving the notice, including the closure of the 15 minutes, a compensation lawsuit of US 5 million will be filed.
