Bangladesh: New 10 taka notes are coming in the market on Tuesday
New 10 taka notes will be released in the market from Tuesday. Bangladesh Bank said in a press release on Monday. Bangladesh Bank says the new banknotes are made of 100% cotton paper to strengthen the security features and prevent counterfeiting. The note has an existing design with a portrait of Bangabandhu with the addition of new security thread. The new note, signed by Governor Fazle Kabir, has changed the color and design of the existing Rs 10 denomination banknotes and changed the security paper and the security thread on the left side of the front of the note. The new note is printed on 100% cotton paper.
In addition, the newly added safety thread is 2 mm. Spacious and it clearly reads "$ 10 (ten) rupees" in Bengali directly and vice versa. Which will be located in whole or in part in the visible part of the safety thread.
Bangladesh Bank has said that the new security thread will not be easily lifted by scratching or twisting the nails. The color of the yarn will change from magenta to green when the note is rotated or tilted in different directions. This note will be issued from Bangladesh Bank's Motijheel office from Tuesday and later from other offices of Bangladesh Bank. In addition to these new notes, other notes of Rs 10 denomination currently in circulation will also be issued simultaneously as valid banknotes.
