Austrian airline is planning flights at a flat rate

If Ahmed Taieb's wishes go well, flying will soon be much cheaper. Because from next summer he wants to start flights with his new airline Supreme Fly from Bratislava to up to twelve destinations. And that at a flat rate.

Depending on the scope of the package chosen, customers can take up to four flights per month with Supreme Fly from 79 euros. The subscription for 149 euros allows eight flights, the 999 euros unlimited flights. Why pay extra for each ticket? We pay monthly flat rates everywhere, this must also be possible when flying, says managing director Taieb about Supreme Fly.

The thirty-year-old Taieb is completely unknown in Austrian aviation circles. Nevertheless, he would like to soon serve Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Dubai, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London, Rome, Zagreb and Zurich with Supreme Fly. In addition, seasonal connections to Marrakech, Cairo, Tunis and Jeddah are to be started. The virtual Austrian airline plans to operate with an Airbus A321.

While the cheapest package from Supreme Fly only includes hand luggage in the ticket price and meals have to be paid for on board, the most expensive business tariff offers free meals on all flights. She does not explain in a press release who will operate the flights for the airline, which is based in Vienna.

The next few weeks should show whether the concept will ever become a reality. According to the company's founder, 25,000 advance registrations are required on the website to take off the Supreme Fly. Then you can officially enter the flight plan. However, the project currently only has a modest 1216 interested parties.

The concept is not entirely new. The Californian Surf Air also started with flat rates - but with small planes. With the expansion to Europe, however, had taken over and withdrew to the USA .
