Argentina: A banner was made against the national government in different parts of the country
Thousands of people convened this Sunday in different parts of the country to protest against the national government despite the restrictions to circulate due to the covid-19 pandemic. The march of # 13S was called through social networks under the slogans Everyone for the Republic and Everyone to the streets.
In the Buenos Aires Obelisk, the protesters carried mostly Argentine flags, pans and posters with various slogans such as therejection of the withdrawal of co-participation from the city of Buenos Aires, the mandatory quarantine, the house arrest of Lázaro Baéz and the judicial reform, among others. There were also protests in front of the Quinta de Olivos, in the center of Bariloche, in the city of Córdoba, in Mar del Plata, Rosario and La Plata . Many of the protesters chose to move around with their cars to respect social distance. The “honk” was strongly felt in the streets of the Cordovan capital.
After 4:00 p.m., photos and videos of the protest began to go viral on social networks and the hashtag # 13STodosALasCalles was among the main trends on Twitter.
On August 17, thousands of people had also mobilized after a self-call on social networks. They had previously marched on June 20 and July 9.
This morning, former President Mauricio Macri published a letter in which he accused the authorities at the head of the National Executive Power of being deploying a series of measures that consist of the systematic and permanent attack on our Constitution.
Macri said, in order to govern without limits, they violate the Fundamental Law of the Nation for whom the course the country has taken reveals the intention of the Government to establish a New Social Contract in Argentina with unpublished dominant principles.
Democracy is the right not to be afraid. The desire for freedom in all the sublime beauty of its expression, tweeted former Minister of Education Alejandro Finocchiaro , while PRO deputy Fernando Iglesias published an image of him driving to the concentration at the Obelisk.
A woman, pouring out some of the various slogans said, I came because I do not want my children to live in Venezuela, not to run over Justice to let us walk freely. I am from the province and I like the City of Buenos Aires. I want the province to be like the City and not the City of the Province.
The bulk of the protesters began to lose focus as night fell, although some protesters persisted in honking their horns, when street lights already dominated the scene.
