An inquiry has been ordered by the Maharashtra government into alleged Kangana Ranaut drug nexus
The Maharashtra government has ordered a probe into the allegations that Kangana Ranaut consumed drugs. As the face off between actor Kangana Ranaut and the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra continues, the state government on Tuesday ordered an inquiry into the alleged drug nexus based on old interview of her ex-boyfriend Adhyayan Suman. In the interview, Adhyayan Suman had reporteldly claimed that Kangana Ranaut had asked him to consume drugs. Confirming the latest development, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh told that the state government has ordered a probe into Kangana drug nexus.
Shiv Sena leaders Sunil Prabhu and Pratap Sarnaik had earlier submitted copies of Adhyayan Suman’s interview to the government and demanded an inquiry.
Party MLA Pratap Sarnaik had on Monday demanded a unanimous resolution in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for a legal action against Kangana Ranaut, who he said maligned the image of Maharashtra and Mumbai through her tweets. The Sena leader alleged that Kangana Ranaut had accused many film personalities of consuming drugs, "while some actors have accused her of being on drugs.
Maharashtra Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant had also asked the NCB to probe alleged Kangana Ranaut's drug links.
Sachin Sawant had said, some videos have emerged in which Kangana Ranaut has confessed that she was a drug addict. Who was supplying her drugs? The NCB which is probing the matter, should go and investigate her.
The Shiv Sena and Kangana Ranaut have been locked in a bitter war of words since the actor said she didn't trust Mumbai Police after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Reacting strongly to her comment, senior Sena leader Sanjay Raut had purportedly said, We kindly request her not to come to Mumbai. This is nothing but an insult to Mumbai Police.
Hitting back, Kangana Ranaut had tweeted, Why is Mumbai feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir? The tweet evoked strong reaction from leaders of the Sena and ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government.
