A subsidy of 3.3 trillion won was provided to 7.44 million people, including small businessmen, special type workers (special high school), and freelancers who were damaged by the re-proliferation of the Covid-19. Although it is eligible for the support fund, 600,000 people were not paid because they did not apply.
On the 30th, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance released the results of the 4th supplementary budget (customized emergency disaster support package) before Chuseok. The size of the 4th supplementary budget is 7 trillion won. Of this, the government has handed over 5,400 billion won to the project implementing agency immediately after passing the National Assembly's additional government. The goal was to complete the subsidies before Chuseok to 8041,000 people, including 2.41 million new desired funds for small businesses, 5.84 million special child care, 464,000 emergency employment security support, and 60,000 youth job search support funds.
In fact, prior to Chuseok, the recipients of the support fund were 7.42 million, and the amount of the support was 3.3 trillion won. The new desired fund for small businesses (1 million to 2 million won per person) was paid 2 trillion won to a total of 1.86 million people before Chuseok. This is the scale of the actual execution of the 2.43 million people eligible for expedited payment.
Small business owners (operating limit 320,000 people, group ban 150,000 people) in the affected business, where it is difficult to confirm sales with administrative information, will be paid after Chuseok. The special child care subsidy (200,000 won per person) paid a total of 1 trillion won to 508 million people. The targets paid before Chuseok were 2.38 million preschoolers and 2.7 million elementary school students. Middle school students (1,200,000) and out-of-school children (160,000) are eligible for payment after Chuseok.
Emergency employment security support (500,000 won per person) was paid 200 billion won to a total of 455,000 people. Most of the 464,000 recipients of the 1st Emergency Employment Stability Support Fund that can be paid before Chuseok have been paid. 200,000 new applicants are expected to be paid in November.
The youth job search support fund (500,000 won per person) was distributed to 41,000 people, 20.5 billion won, and the incentive for re-trying of closed stores (500,000 won per person) was distributed 2.93 billion won to 6,000 people. A total of 599,000 people were eligible to receive support funds before Chuseok, but were unable to pay the support funds.
